Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I really am going to make an extra effort to make sure that I am posting to my blog as often as possible. My schedule just started to get extremely busy again with photo sessions in March and April is every busier, so I have completely neglected my blogging duties.

I'm so excited for the weather to start warming up again. I was able to do an engagement shoot outside and not freeze! YAY! Here are some photos from that session to share :)

I have made a change in my payment policies for Portrait Session Fees. From now on, all session fees are due at the time the portrait session is scheduled. If payment is not received, then the date and time will remain available on my calendar for other clients.

Session fees are non-refundable and they can be transferred once if for some reason you need to re-schedule your original session date.

You can pay your session fee with a credit or debit card by phone or you can pay securely online with Paypal using this link: Paypal
You do not have to have a paypal account to submit payment this way.

Sweet Newborn

This little guy was so sweet. He had some amazing strength for being so small, I couldn't believe it. He sure did fight some of these poses but I won! His parents have been a joy to work with, always making me laugh which is nice for such a long session. Just a couple to share. I have a lot of favorites though.

Tayah's 1 year portraits

Tayah came in to get her 1 year portraits done. She did not have much patience for having to stay on the backdrop. I sure got lucky that she isn't quite walking yet or else she would have been outta there! This is my cousin's little girl. She looks very much like me when I was a baby. (you might recognize her as the cover model for the magazine I was published in) This was also my very first session with my incredible new camera - 5d mark II. I have done several more sessions since this with my new camear and I am in *LOVE*

I'm so sorry that I have been lacking on my blog duties. I took about 2 weeks off for my eye enhancement surgery (Lasik/PRK) which was a nice needed break.
February is great because it's one of the slower months with photography. It's also the month of my husband and I's anniversary, so I'll be taking a little min-vacation with him to celebrate 3 years of marriage.

However, it seems to be the season for babies. I have been doing a lot of newborns and have quite a few more booked for February and March. As a lot of you know, newborns are my *favorite*, so you won't hear any complaints from me.

Of course, I can't post without some pictures. So, here are a couple from Tylee's 6 month photo session. This is a session I did in January.

I just thought I'd share with you guys that one of my photos is featured on the front cover of Utah Baby Guide online magazine. I was very flattered when they emailed me and asked to use a photo of mine. Of course, some of you will recognize the one inside on the index page (the baby chef) since that one is mine as well.

I had to share another one of my newborn sessions. I have been doing a lot of newborns lately and will continue to into the next few months. So, I'm sure I won't post all of them. But, I loved these so I wanted to share.

Of course, it's another baby boy. I love all these babies coming in with all of this hair!!! Now, this little guy was only 8 days old, but he still decided that he wanted to be awake the entire session. We spent A LOT of time comforting him in each and every pose. But, when I capture images like this...I forget all about the work it took to get them. He's so sweet!

Well, it seems that all of my newborn clients have been welcoming baby BOYS! Meet Braxton. He was such a little cutie with all of that hair!! I definitely had to work for these portraits though...but just looking at how sweet he is always makes it worth it. Don't you just love his little flexed foot in that last one? He was doing that with his toes the entire session, it was just too cute!

Busy Month!

I know I have been slacking on my blogging duties and I'm sorry! November and December have been so crazy for me, that I just haven't had any extra time to do any blogging. I'm just glad that I'm *almost* done with all my Christmas sessions so that I can take a much-needed BREAK!!

I decided that I'd just share some photos of some of my latest sessions. Of course I don't have time to share photos from each session taken or I'd be on here all night. But, it will give you guys something to look at since I haven't posted new photos in awhile.

For Family Photos!!

I have been extremely busy this month doing lots of family sessions for Christmas. I agree with all my clients that photos make the best gifts!!!

I decided to post a picture of one of my FAVORITE families....okay, so this happens to be my cousin's family. I love them so much! We are also great friends. They have always been there for Karson and I whenever we need them and we are so thankful that they are a part of our family.

Plus...how cute are they???

This first one is of Ty in his pin-striped suit. Isn't that just the cutest outfit ever? He really loved his shoes and made sure to keep pointing them out to Karson and I throughout the shoot. I was laughing so hard.

This is the whole family. You'll probably recognize beautiful Nevaeh since I just posted her 4 year old photos last week. You'd never be able to guess how hard it was to get both of the kids smiling and looking at the same time by this photo!

Here is sweet little Zoey as a chef! Her mom wanted some like these so she could hang up a big one in her kitchen. How cute will that be?

She was pretty excited to have some big spoons to play with. I can't believe she is already 6 months old! I have been photographing her since she was in her mommy's belly.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted some photos from my recent sessions. The good thing is that I've been SOOO busy with doing photo shoots that I just haven't had the time to sit down and add the photos to my blog.

Here is little Stefan - he was such a wonderful little newborn! Just slept the whole time for me.

Getting newborns this sweet makes me very baby hungry! But then I just need a little one that screams the entire session to remind me how hard they really can be! lol.

Twins

Have I already told you how much I *LOVE* shooting newborn twins??? Oh my gosh, every time I do them I just get soooo anxious to get them all processed because I know that I am going to have the most gorgeous photos! I mean, as most of my clients know - newborns are my favorite sessions...but two beautiful new babies at once? Love it! I was really excited for this one because it's my first time doing a set with a boy and a girl. It was actually my easiest twin session yet (Not that twin sessions are ever really EASY! lol). Of course I can't share the entire session with you...but here are some favorites! It's so hard to choose which ones to share! :)

I was so excited when they showed up with this giant colorful catepillar to use in the photos! How stinkin cute is that??

This family photo is absolutely gorgeous. I was so excited when they decided to make this their LARGE picture to hang in their home. They are going to cherish having a shot like this forever!! I know I would.

Pauline's Bridals

This is my friend Pauline. We have been friends since 1st grade! I was so excited when she called me to ask me if I'd do her bridals. It was so much fun catching up with her and hanging out again. It's crazy how you can go a long time without seeing an old friend and then once you spend time together again, it feels like high school was just yesterday! We had a blast!

Here is one of my 2009 high school seniors who came all the way from Wyoming to do her senior photo shoot. She has the cutest, bubbliest personality! We had so much fun during her photo shoot. She is actually a twin, but her sister did not want anything to do with the photo shoot so we ended up with just a lot of great pictures of sweet little Skyler. The color looks beautiful on her. I love the mood of the photo with her looking down.

Here are some photos of Cooper. His mom has been begging for a sneak-peek...so here it is Kacy! :) Just a little bit of a teaser for you until I get the rest of them done.
Cooper was pretty used to standard poses so it took him a little while to get used to the way I shoot. He found out really quick that I am nothing like Kiddie Kandids! We had a really great time doing the photo shoot! Thanks so much for coming Kacy. I've loved working with both of your kids.

This is Jaymn. He was one of my boy rep models that came in for a photo shoot. Oh my gosh! He was such a blast to work wtih. He has the cutest personality and as you can see he is SOOO photogenic. I didn't want to stop taking photos of him. It was so cute because when I told him that he was all done, he actually wanted to do more pictures. He was having a fun time. That makes me happy. I want the kids that come in to enjoy their photo shoot and not look at photos as a dreadful thing.

His mom definitely knows how to dress him in style. We did so many super cute outfits! So here are a few favorites...there are SOOO many more though, so I just might have to share another time.

I just want to say Thank You to all of the boys that have come and modeled for my search and for all the boys that I still have scheduled to do their shoot. I appreciate such a great response and all the cute new faces to add to my portfolio! The model shoot for ages 5-11 is now closed.

I know I said I was going to do the younger boys at the end of September but it looks like it will be more in the middle of October now. I will post a search here soon to let you all know.

Boy Model Search

I know you have all been waiting for my boy model search to begin. I am now ready to start accepting some boy models! I am going to split the ages for this search since it's going to be done much differently than my girls. My first search will be for boys ages 5-11. Now, I will not be providing clothing for these shoots but I am being very specific on the style that I am looking for. This does not mean that you need to go out and buy new clothes for the shoot - most of the styles can be put together by things you already have. If you have an idea for a style and aren't quite sure if it's what I'm looking for - please just take a photo of the outfit and email it to me. I'd love to see some different looks put together.

Here is one example of the style I am looking for:

I want funky layered clothing - things can be mismatched - it's the style now. I love blazers or suit jackets mixed with jeans. Some examples of jackets I like:

I also love sweater vests (you can find almost anywhere) with a long sleeved button-up shirt - the shirt left untucked showing at the bottom of the vest.

I am not too picky on the pants - I do like the washed look more than others. I'd prefer not to have them in tight jeans (I know that's becoming more and more the style) Loose-fitting jeans will go much better with the look I'm trying to acheive.

You will receive a free photo shoot ($50.00 value) and 1 free 8x10 of your favorite photo from the session. You are welcome to purchase additional photos but are not expected or required to.

Back From Vacation

Hello Everyone! Sorry about the lack of activity on my blog recently. I took a nice break from work and went on vacation. It was lovely! But, I am now back and ready to jump back into work, so you'll be seeing lots more shares and posts.

I have received quite a few emails asking me about my boy model search that I was planning on doing this July. I am actually going to have to put it off until sometime in August due to vacation and then so many clients at the end of July that I need to accomodate. However, I will still be doing it, so just keep an eye out. Kaiya's Sneak-Peek

This is 9 month old Kaiya. She is Michaela's little sister (from my post below.) They have completely different coloring - Kaiya was just a little blonde hair blue eyed girl. Cute as can be. She was such a GOOD baby! She just sat and played in the studio for well over an hour and was just happy as could be, and every time it was time for her to have her photos done, she was wonderful! She didn't try to rip the angel wings off either (which is what most little ones her age do the second I try to put them on). It was such a treat to have such an easy 9 month old in the studio!

Oh my, what can I say about sweet Michaela....she was such a beautiful girl! She did such a great job with all the poses and you could tell she just loved being in front of the camera. She is 8 years old, so my oldest angel yet. It was a lot of fun to work with an older girl! As with most of my other girls, we got *SO* many amazing images, so it was really hard to only pick a select few for sharing on my blog.

Carlee is my oldest *Little Angel* so far. She followed directions so great! It made my job really easy. She was such a little sweetheart too...a little shy at first but after she got used to the studio and me she really got into the photo shoot. This first one is my favorite! But, as with all the girls, I had a really hard time choosing just a select few to share on the blog. I have no idea how I'm going to choose which ones I want to display in my portfolio because every single one of them have a ton of beautiful photos.

Oh my gosh....I gasped when I looked at Alyssa's photos! She was such a great little model. It helps that she is 5, so she is one of my older girls. She followed direction perfectly and was such a beautiful poser. I had a really hard time choosing which ones to share on my blog. She came in the cutest little boutique style outfit..her mom makes them! She does such an amazing job! I told her she needs to go into business! This first photo I decided to do a milk and honey conversion on and I fell in love.
This second photo is done with a warm vintage tint - I think it goes with the photo beautifully!

Since she is 5 - I did all of her angel photos in a silk wrap. My girls 3 and under I usually do in a tutu with no top.

My Little Angel Photoshoot!

This is 3 year old Frankie. She was my very first model for my *Little Angels* shoots. She was such a great model to work with and just cute as can be!

This will be a new type of session I will be offering to clients ages 7 and under. I have a lot of models of different ages that I will be photographing throughout this week. I'll make sure to share some sneak-peeks from each session. At the end of all my shoots I am going to have a *Cover Girl* contest between all my favorite photos (one favorite from each session) Whoever gets the most votes will recieve a free 11x14 of the winning photo and will also be the new face on the front of my business cards! So, be sure to come back and check out the contest!

Now for the photos of sweet little Frankie...

This first photo is one of my angel outfits in white with wings, tutu and halo.

This second photo is an outfit her mom brought and I just loved her little attitude with her hand on her hip!

This third photo is a silk wrap - I provide these at my studio in various colors - she has on a soft rose pink color in this shot.

And this last photo is a full shot of her in the angel outfit again! Oh my goodness..I just *love* it!!

Kayla is a senior from Idaho, she is my first 2009 senior to photograph. Oh my goodness! She is SO freakin' cute! I had the funnest time photographing Kayla. SUMMER MODEL SEARCH

I am looking for GIRL MODELS

ages 9 months - 7 years old

The session fee will be complimentary and you will also recieve 1 free 8x10 of your favorite photo from the shoot. This is not a contest - I will be taking models by the first people who contact me to schedule the appointments. I will only be taking 2 girls from similar ages.

Requirements are simple. I am looking for girls with LOTS of personality and SPUNK! I prefer girls that aren't super shy, although I'm pretty good at getting the little ones to break out of their shell.

The sessions will mainly consist of photos with tutus, wraps and angel wings.

All of these things will be provided to you at my studio.

The session will be completely stylized by me.

If you would like to bring 2 outfits to have her picture done in to take advantage of the free session, you are welcome to do so.

How to Schedule for the Model Shoot:

Please email me a picture of your little one to kamivoilesphotography@yahoo.com

Send me her waist measurement and the measurement from her waist to her feet so I can make sure I have a tutu and wrap that will fit her. (Wraps will only be done for girls age 3 and older)

Include her name & age, your name, and your phone number

Also, please tell me if you prefer weekdays, weekends, daytime or evening sessions so I can see what I have available.

(If you have a daughter younger than 9 months but she is able to sit up by herself then I would be happy to book her as a model as well - I just ask that they be able to sit on their own)

Well, I have finally finished up all my 2008 senior sessions!!! YAY! I was so excited to have so many seniors this year, they are so fun to photograph.

I wasn't able to post even half of my sessions on my blog because a lot of seniors decided to book during crunch time and I needed to spend all of my free time making sure sessions were proofed and orders were recieved.

I just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all of you that booked your senior sessions with me. I hope you enjoyed getting your photos taken as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Also, I believe CONGRATULATIONS are in order because you will all be graduating next week! WOW! The door of high school is closing but there are SO many other doors out there waiting to be opened! Take everything you have learned this far in your life and apply it to your future. I wish you all the best of luck in accomplishing all of your dreams and goals. I know you'll all do AWESOME!

I had a session with Shauna and her cute little family on Sunday for her maternity photos. I only had time to do 2 for this sneak-peek and boy was it hard to choose which 2 I really wanted to share. I did Morgan's senior photos a week ago but I just had no time to get up some sneak-peeks. Those of you that have already had your galleries posted online to view all your photos will not have a sneak-peek posted on my blog. I just didn't have enough time to get EVERY session I have done on here. Senior season has been very busy for me, but I love every minute of it.

Morgan is a senior from Roy. She had just gotten her prom dress so we were able to do some really pretty pictures of her in it. I have chosen to only share studio shots but we did do some outdoors photos as well. We had a good time.

The sky was AMAZING tonight. I love how it looks after a storm. Jerek and his mom were a lot of fun to work with. He started out a little quiet and shy but was quite model material! I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph these adorable newborn twin boys yesterday. It was a very long session (4 hrs) but the results are completely worth it. Parents always seem surprised when I tell them to allow at least 3 hors for their newborn photo session. My work is not like Sears or Kiddie Kandids where I rush you in and out regardless of if I got any great shots. I spend a lot of time making sure the baby is comfortable, fed, changed, and sleeping! So, you can only imagine how much more work it is for 2 little newborns. It took 4 of us to get them in some of the poses we did! haha.

Britta & Bart - it was so fun working with you guys. You had a great deal of patience and were also fun company to have around for 4 hours while we got some amazing photos of your 2 precious boys. Thank you!

Meet adorable Ty-Ty. He has the sweetest personality EVER! And look at those cheeks and eyes!!! I was so excited about his outfit - it's all Hurley and the shoes are DC's, so he looked like a little skater boy. I absolute *LOVE* it when parents bring their children dressed in stylish clothes for pictures. Thanks Lynds & Jeep for having such good taste - I'm bummed we didn't get some in the pink skull shirt!! That one is absolutely adorable too!

He loved the sound that his feet made on my bamboo floor so he'd just stomp around on it and laugh. Once he got sick of that, mom waved a fluffy fan in front of his face and he thought that was pretty great as well. I think he did a wonderful job especially for being a 1 year old, now mobile, and wanting to explore this new odd place that he was in.

I had the pleasure of photoraphing this little beauty yesterday! I have done her photos 3 times now and the first time she was the hardest child I had ever photographed. She is very used to me now though so I really love working with her. It just took a little while for her to warm up to me and the bright lights in the studio.

This first picture, in my opinion, is AMAZING!!!! I think it will be going up in a very large print on my studio wall! One of my favorite pictures to date. I've had a lot of those lately! I'll be sharing some of her little brother Ty shortly.
